Starter Series

What is it?

Starter Series is a beginner-friendly softball session for adults who want to learn the game in a relaxed, supportive environment.

We treat everyone as if they’ve never played before, so no experience is expected

We cover all the basics, like how to swing a bat, throw a ball, and catch. We also go over the rules of the game.

After learning and practicing, you’ll play a short easygoing game to try it all out.

It’s a friendly, low pressure introduction to the wonderful game of softball!

Why it works

Everyone there is learning, just like you.

There’s no pressure to know what you’re doing and no expectation to be good at it.

Mistakes are normal and part of the learning process.

It’s a relaxed way to move around, try something new, and enjoy softball without feeling judged.

Is this for me?

This is for you if:

  • softball looks fun but feels a little scary

  • you don’t want to jump straight into a game

  • you’d rather practice first than “just figure it out”

  • you want a low-pressure way to try something new

If you’ve ever wanted to try softball but didn’t how, this was made for you.

Good to know

  • You don’t need to bring any equipment except a glove (if you have one).

  • Gloves can be provided if needed, just let us know in advance.

  • We use softer balls (Incrediballs) for a safer experience

  • You can take breaks whenever you need to.

  • The session runs about 2 to 2.5 hours total, including learning, practice, and a short, relaxed game.

  • This is a learning-focused event, not a competitive game/league.

  • Starter Series is a separate event from In Play and has its own registration.
