Head Out Toronto Softball Waiver and Release of Liability

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE AGREEING. THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND WAIVER OF LEGAL RIGHTS.

By registering for and participating in a Head Out Toronto Softball Event, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Voluntary Participation

I am voluntarily participating in a Head Out Toronto softball event. I understand that participation in softball and related activities involves physical exertion and carries a risk of injury.

2. Assumption of Risk

I acknowledge the inherent risks of participating in this event, including but not limited to slips, falls, collisions, sun exposure, dehydration, uneven playing surfaces, and being struck by a ball or bat. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation.

3. Release of Liability

I release and forever discharge Head Out Toronto, its directors, organizers, volunteers, sponsors, partners, and affiliated individuals from any and all claims, demands, damages, actions, or liabilities arising from or related to my participation in the event, except where prohibited by applicable law.

4. Medical Treatment

I authorize the event organizers to provide or arrange first aid and emergency medical treatment if deemed necessary. I understand that I am responsible for any medical expenses incurred.

5. Fitness to Participate

I confirm that I am physically able to participate safely in this event and will take responsibility for my own health and well-being throughout the day.

6. Photography and Media Release

I grant permission for photographs and video footage taken during the event to be used by Head Out Toronto for promotional, marketing, social media, and other related purposes without compensation.

7. Code of Conduct

I agree to follow all event rules and safety instructions and to treat fellow participants, volunteers, and organizers with respect and good sportsmanship. I understand that Head Out Toronto may remove me from the event without refund if my behaviour is unsafe, abusive, or inconsistent with the spirit of the event.

8. Binding Agreement

I understand that this waiver is binding upon me and my heirs, executors, administrators, legal representatives, and assigns.
